La Documentation parlementaire brings out a new issue of Europe parlementaire on the digital society
This issue focuses on the strategic implications of broadband Internet coverage and emerging uses and services for the digital society, featuring interviews and comments by: Michel Mercier, Minister for Rural Areas and Spatial Planning Christian Estrosi, Minister for Industry Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet, Minister of State to the Prime Minister, with responsibility for Forward Planning and the Digital Economy Viviane Reding, European Commissioner-designate for Justice, Fundamental Rights and Citizenship, with responsibility for telecoms and personal data Jean-Ludovic Silicani, Chairman of the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communication and Postal Services (ARCEP) Jacques Pélissard, Member for Jura, Mayor of Lons-le-Saunier, Chairman of the Community of Municipalities of Bassin-de-Lons-le-Saunier, Chairman of the Association of French Mayors (AMF) Daniel Raoul, Senator for Maine-et-Loire, Secretary of the Senate, Vice-Chairman of the Parliamentary Office for the Evaluation of Scientific and Technological Choices (OPECST), Councillor for Angers
Europe parlementaire looks at topical issues and features the viewpoints of experts and practitioners from the telecoms sector and the digital economy alongside those of parliamentarians and government representatives. It is stimulating to combine the two perceptions of the information and media society. Policymakers and business leaders differ in their vocabulary, analytical frameworks and approaches, but ultimately both stakeholders are seeking the same result: to have an impact on society. Through interviews and articles, drafted in collaboration with leading experts, the magazine looks at the major trends influencing the future of the sector. The new issue is an opportunity for political and economic actors from the telecoms and new media market to showcase their action, achievements and future projects, and publicise that information to their regional, national and European partners.

La Documentation parlementaire publishes a new issue of Europe parlementaire.
This issue is dedicated to the new strategic implications of the digital economy and digital development, and features interviews and comments by: Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet, Minister of State to the Prime Minister, with responsibility for Forward Planning and the Digital Economy Viviane Reding, European Commissioner for Information Society and Media Christian Estrosi, Minister for Industry Nicolas Curien, Member of the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communication and Postal Services (ARCEP) Jacques Pélissard, Member for Jura, Mayor of Lons-le-Saunier, Chairman of the Community of Municipalities of Bassin-de-Lons-le-Saunier, Chairman of the Association of French Mayors (AMF) Alex Türk, Senator for Nord-Pas-de-Calais, Chairman of the National Commission on Data Protection (CNIL) François-Daniel Migeon, Director-General, Directorate-General for the Modernisation of the State
This issue is an opportunity to focus on several key issues and to feature the viewpoints of experts and practitioners from telecommunications and the digital economy alongside those of parliamentarians and government representatives. It is not easy to combine the two perceptions of the information and media society, because policymakers and business have different sensibilities and do not always employ the same vocabulary, the same analytical frameworks, or the same methods, even if ultimately both stakeholders are seeking the same result: to have an impact on society.
Through interviews and articles, drafted in collaboration with leading experts, this issue will look at the major trends influencing the future of this sector.
This special issue is an opportunity for political and economic actors from the telecoms and new media market to showcase their action, achievements and future projects, and publicise that information to their regional, national and European partners.
